Artist: Réal Godbout
Comic-book artist Réal Godbout frames Mont-Royal within the sculpture The Ring at Place Ville-Marie. This popular landmark also offers a stunning view of McGill College Avenue, the Roddick Gates, and the McGill campus itself. Godbout excels at depicting crowds from all walks of life gathering in this beautiful setting.
This piece is part of a broader collection depicting Mont-Royal in various settings. Godbout pays homage to 18th-century Japanese master Hokusai, globally renowned for his Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji.
The artwork was done digitally by Réal Godbout and adapted to the print format by Studio Raton designer Olivier.
